GDPR
As data controller, the EnergyPLAN team at Aalborg University has the duty to and interest in protecting the data we receive from you when you sign up as a user of the EnergyPLAN software tool.
When you sign up, we register your name, e-mail address and country. The purposes of this registration are
- to create a network and facilitate the communication between users of the EnergyPLAN tool
- to be able to send you information about the development of EnergyPLAN, including new versions of the tool, and relevant activities related to the tool, for instance courses and seminars.
We use the information that you provide about your country to display the geographical distribution of users of EnergyPLAN in the Users’ map. Your name and e-mail address become available to other registered users, once they enter the Users’ map function on the website. This will enable users to identify and communicate with each other.
Furthermore, we register your e-mail address in our mailing list to distribute news and keep you informed about the development of EnergyPLAN.
The data given will be used only for these purposes.
By agreement with your rights to rectification and erasure of personal data, you can update your data or delete yourself as a user via the website at any time. Once you have deleted yourself as a user, your data will be removed from the Users’ map and the mailing list.

If you have any requirements concerning your rights to rectification, erasure and restricted processing of personal data or the right to object, please contact Aalborg University at anmodning@aau.dk.
If you find that Aalborg University in any way neglects the General Data Protection Regulation when processing your data, you may lodge a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency. However, we recommend that you contact Aalborg University at anmodning@aau.dk or the data protection officer at Aalborg University at dpo@aau.dk with the aim to solve or clarify any problems before lodging a complaint.
